Dock scheduling built for cross-dock and transload.
From a single-door transload operation to a multi-site cross-dock network, Docking Buddy tracks trucks from the gate and shows your crew what is happening. Each facility chooses its roles, dock-assignment permissions and optional checks.
What makes cross-dock and transload different
Generic scheduling tools treat a dock like a calendar. In a cross-dock or transload yard the hard part is the flow:
- Trucks arrive in waves and doors turn quickly.
- A trailer may need staging in the yard before a door opens.
- Inbound and outbound loads depend on each other.
- A late arrival changes the whole shift.
How Docking Buddy handles it
- Request in. Booking requests from forwarded texts or emails land in one queue, and your team reviews and converts them.
- Door chosen. Docking Buddy suggests a door and start time from trailer type, size, weight and equipment. You can always override it, or stage the truck before assigning a dock.
- Gate check-in. The truck arrives, the driver is verified, and the safety check is completed if the facility has enabled it. Staff then route the truck to staging or straight to a dock.
- Staged, then released. A truck can wait in a staging spot before a dock is assigned, then be released to a dock when it opens. Every stage is timestamped.
- Live board. Live Operations shows what is on site, what is at a dock, and what needs attention, such as a late truck or a mismatch found at verification.
Built for one door or a multi-site network
- Configure workflows and roles per facility, whether you run one door or multiple sites.
- Each facility manager chooses whether to enable gate safety, PO validation (warn-only or a gate hold), and the public API and webhooks for your own systems.
- Flat pricing: Starter $179 a month, Growth $349 a month. No per-truck or per-pallet charges.
